I don’t do a lot of landscape photography, but every once in a while, I try to capture the majesty of wide open spaces. I love photographing prairie storms (the mothership cloud shown here was the only viral photography I ever took – 300 000 views. Some called it fake news.) I stood on top of the tractor in my father’s field to capture it – forgetting that you need to be inside a vehicle in case lightning strikes. As cold as winter gets in Alberta, we have beautiful winter landscapes. I am also fascinated with the landscape of the micro-world. Shown here is the lichen that grew between the floorboards of a cabin.
